In der Abwesenheit des Herrn Prof Tate möchte ich Ihnen mittheilen, lieber Herr Tepper, dass meine Schwester von nahe Mt Burr gesendet hat, als neu für S.A. Wenn Sie doch einmal etwas der R.S. vorlegen, könnten Sie auch diese Pflanze zeigen.

Auch , wie Sie sehen, ist dort am Mt Burr von Mrs Dr Wehl gefunden, und Spiranthes australis an der Rivoli Bay in den Hummocks! womit also ein Genus für S.A. gewonnen. Meine Schwester schickte nur 1 Ex., also kann ich dies nicht abgeben, auch nur eins von dem moosig kleinen Selaginella Preissiana von Mt Burr, und von Guichen Bay.

Dass die Frau Dr Wehl an der Rivoli Bay fand glaube ich Ihnen bereits mitgetheilt zu haben.

Mrs Richards von Fowlers Bay sendet mir gerade , woran die Verbreitung für über 500 Meilen weiter westlich nachgewiesen wird. Vielleicht halten Sie diese Notizen zu länglich für eine specielle Mittheilung an die R.S. von Adelaide, zumal da seither auch wieder Einiges vom Rev H Kempe hinzugekommen z. B. , & Prof Tates Phyllanthus Tatei von Spencers Golf u dann Ihre letzten Novitäten.

N. 600, in Ihrem Brief v. 6. März ist eine Form der weitverbreiteten . Recht gern , soll bald einer neuen Pflanze der Name des Judge Way zuerkannt werden, es müsste aber eine Art aus Südaustralien sein.

Cyperoideen Arten sind in vielen Fällen so weit verbreitet, dass der Annahme von Cyp. tenellus als einheimisch nichts entgegensteht. Wäre dieses Pflänzchen eingeführt, so müsste es dort mehr verbreitet sein.

Stören Sie ja nicht die Stackhousien in Ihren Sammlungen; ich werde wohl all das nach u nach gesandete Material bald zusammenfinden, was freilich zeitraubend ist. ist ziemlich häufig an der Küste dort.

At the meeting of the Royal Society of South Australia on 4 April 1882, a paper, 'Notes on some new Australian plants', was read on Tepper's behalf; these notes were not published.

Even , as you will see, is there at Mt Burr found by Mrs Wehl, and Spiranthes australis at Rivoli Bay in the Hummocks! whereby a genus gained for South Australia. My sister sent me only 1 specimen, thus I cannot give this away, also only one of the mossy small from Mt Burr, and from Guichen Bay.

just sent me , by which its range is proved for over 500 miles further west. Perhaps you will regard these notes as too long for a special communication to the Royal Society of Adelaide, especially because since then something further from Rev. H. Kempe is to be added, e.g. , and Professor Tate's from Spencers Gulf and then your last novelties.

N. 600 in your letter of 6 March is a form of the widely distributed . Very willingly shall the name of Judge Way soon be bestowed on a new plant, but it must be a species from South Australia.

species are in many cases so widely distributed that nothing stands in the way of the assumption of as indigenous. Were this little plant introduced it would have to be spread more widely there.

Do not disturb the Stackhousiae in your collection; I shall probably soon find all the material sent successively together, which admittedly is very time consuming.

is rather common on the coast there.
