Diesen Morgen, lieber Herr Landsmann, erhielt ich Ihren freundlichen Brief v. 19. Juni. Der Taback Baum ist (aus Sudamerika).

Es giebt eine etwas behaarte Varietät von mit niederliegendem Stengel, welche gewissermassen den Übergang zu P. glomeratus bildet. Letzterer mag aber doch verschieden sein als Art .

Die Adresse der L.S. ist Burlington House, London. Ich werde Ihre secunda absenden. Die Gesellschaft schreibt nicht wegen blosser Anerkennung der Remissen. Sie werden aber die neuen Publicationen der Gesellschaft erhalten, sobald solche erscheinen, aber es wird nöthig sein, jemand in London um die Versendung zu Ihnen zu ersuchen, der solche von Burlington House holen muss. Ihr Adelaider Buchhändler könnte dies leicht durch seine Bezugsquelle in London vermitteln.

Für das Sammeln u die Übersendung der Euc. Blätter an Hr Nitschke bin ich Ihnen sehr verpflichtet. Nachdem diese Sendungen durch Ihre Güte vollendet sind, werde ich den gesammt Betrag pr Post Office Order Ihnen zukommen lassen.

Über Schoenus Tepperi, der in der 92 Nummer der Fragm. erscheinen wird, habe ich bereits Ihnen berichtet.

The tobacco tree is (from South America).

There is a somewhat hairy variety of with prostrate stem, which to an extent forms the transition to P. glomeratus. The latter, however, may of course be different as species .

The Society does not write on account of mere acknowledgment of remittances. You will, however, receive the new publications of the Society as soon as such are published, but it will be necessary to request someone in London to dispatch them to you who must fetch them from Burlington House. Your Adelaide bookseller could arrange this easily through his source of supply in London.

I am very indebted to you for the collection and the consignment of the Euc. leaves to Mr Nitschke.
