I know of no with erect ovules & Exalbuminous seeds, or similar Embryo to that of .

in N.Z. — & hence Extratropical — observe we say " vix extra tropicos" which is surely enough. No doubt there are a few also in Extratropical Asia, (Japan even) N. America & S. America.

You say "do you now distinguish only one ". — we mention 2.

No I do not like Radlkofers Genera of

Radlkofer (1875), where the genus is split into many sections; Radlkofer (1879).

& he seems to have made a species of every collectors specimen.

I am very much puzzled with the Palms. A trip round the coast & to Lord Howes Island to clear them up would be well worth the time & money. The Australians are in a deplorable state of imperfect descriptions. Can you help me to materials for
