Melbourne bot. & zool Garden,
6. Dec. 1860
My dear Capt. Standish.
I was not aware, when I forwarded my note to you yesterday,
that it was requisite to communicate with the hon. the Chief Secretary respecting
the supply of horses from your department, but since you pointed out to me this step,
I will endeavour to see Mr Heales to morrow morning, and communicate to you at once
the result of my interview with our Chief.
