Erlauben Sie, geehrter Herr Professor, Sie um Auskunft zu bitten über , Sieber, welche Sie vor etlichen Jahren wieder herstellten als Art. Ich habe sehr viele Pflanzen Sieber’s aus Steetzs, Sonder's u einigen anderen Sammlungen aber kein authentisches Exemplar von B. floribunda. Bei den engen Räumlichkeiten hier ist das Druckstück verlegt und nicht zu finden in welchem Sie eine Diägnose geben, u so möchte ich Sie ersuchen, mir eine Abschrift der Diägnose zu senden. Bentham u ich vor ihm hielten wohl was specifisch zu scheiden ist als einen Dimorphismus. Nach Ihrer Beschreibung könnte ich die B. floribunda hervorsuche

Permit me, esteemed Professor, to ask you for information about Sieber, which you re-established as a species several years ago.

See Urban (1883), pp. 391-2. The requested text and a fragment of the plant were included with I. Urban to M, 11 March 1896.

I have very many plants of Sieber from Steetz's, Sonder's and some other collections but no authentic specimen of B. floribunda. In the cramped premises here, the printed piece in which you give a diagnosis is mislaid and not to be found and so I would like to ask you to send me a copy of the diagnosis. Bentham and I before him regarded probably what distinguishes it specifically as dimorphism. Following your description, I could look for B. foribunda among the specimens of B. pinnata and so establish the geographical distribution.
