MS annotation by Tepper: 'Reply 18.6.93'. Letter not found.
14/6/93.

Your last letter, dear Mr Tepper, is mislaid, it seems, in my office; but inter alia I remember from it that you desire to complete your series of the Fragmenta; I have still only vols. II, VI, VIII, IX complete, but unbound and XI almost complete. I will very gladly send you 1 copy of any of these volumes.
Your meticulous work in entomology does you great credit and indeed you are still finding something new even in the neighbourhood of Adelaide.
Just spur on your young son

J. W. O. Tepper, who was living at Beverley, WA.
not to let the spring months be unused for plant collecting, since he certainly does look out for insects for you. It would be best, in this respect, if he concentrated his attention completely on small annual plants, of which some probably may have eluded Drummond,

who only visited the area of Beverley once. I made only one fleeting ride there and in fact in summer, when the smallest spring plants were already quite withered.

In November 1877, on his trip towards York, WA.
Respectfully your
Ferd. von Mueller.
At last I now come again to the Elder plants.

B93.02.03 and B93.14.07 were based upon reports said to have been read to the Royal Society of SA on 2 August 1892, but not published there. Publication of the complete report upon which M now resumed work was delayed; it appeared as B96.14.02 (see Lucas 2018), p. 816).

The attempt to gather support for F. M. Bailey's writing a supplement to Flora australiensis, rather than leaving it to M (see F. Bailey to M, March 1893 (in this edition as 93-03-00b), and M to O. Tepper, 4 May 1893).
has also consumed very much time.
