Lesen Sie doch
Tryons Artikel Ende April im Queenslander.
Eiligst aber freundlichst
Ihre

It would be advisable, dear Mr Tepper, that the signatures be got soon of those botanists
of South Australia who favour the completion of the Flora australiensis by me. I have given the same advice to Mr Maiden for New South Wales. Do read Tryon's
article in the Queenslander at the end of April.

See Queenslander, 29 April 1893, pp. 783-4, for a report of a meeting of the local Natural History
Society of 20 April 1893 at which Henry Tryon read a paper 'Baron von Mueller's systematic
arrangement of Australian plants' that explained and defended the reform in botanical
systematics that M was advocating, namely to do away with the Monochlamydeae. An earlier
newspaper article (Tryon (1893)) had defended M's claim to the supplement to Flora australiensis (i.e. Bentham (1883-78)).
Most hastily but most amicably
Your
Ferd. von Mueller.
