Durch diese Wochen-Post, edler Freund, sende ich Ihnen wieder Algen aus der Encounter-Bay (in Süd-Australien), wo solche von Miss Hussey gesammelt wurden. Freilich enthält die Sammlung wenig Seltenes und wohl kaum etwas Neues. Aber diese collection ist immerhin wichtig für Localität , da manche Arten vom Süden des St Vincent's Golf noch nicht bekannt sein mögen. -Arten &c Sie können selbige ja leicht in Ihrem Austausch verwerthen. Eins möchte ich aber doch bei dieser Gelegenheit erbitten, bei Quotation der Localität Miss Husseys Namen jedesmal zu nennen und eine etwa neue Alge dieser Sammlung Ihr zu widmen. Diese Dame ist an der Encounter-Bay wohnhaft; wenn sie also ermuthigt wird, mag sie sich auch mehr bemühen, nach Seltenheiten oder Neuheiten zu spähen dort.

By this week's post, noble friend, I am again sending you algae from Encounter Bay in South Australia, where they were collected by Miss Hussey.

Admittedly the collection contains few rare things and I suppose hardly anything new. However, this collection is still important for locality , since several species from south of St Vincents Gulf may not yet be known. So I am sending you even the unavoidable

However, on this occasion I should like to request one thing , to give Miss Hussey's name each time with the quotation of the locality and to dedicate a possible new alga of this collection to her. This lady is resident at Encounter Bay; thus if she is encouraged , she might endeavour to look out even more for rarities or novelties there.
