Wundern Sie sich nicht, edler Freund, wenn der Quart Band der erst nach einiger Zeit bei Ihnen eintrifft, da die Versendung durch des Premiers Bureau vermittelst der öffentlichen Bibliothek geschehen wird, so mag immerhin etwas Verzug entstehen.

Nun möchte ich Sie bitten, mir ein blühendes u fruchttragendes Ex. von ( ) abzulassen, da Alph. de Candolle mir erlauben will, die für die Monographiae zu bearbeiten. Mein alter persönlicher Freund, Dr Hillebrand, hat mir die Sandwich Insel Art gütig geliefert, u von Dr Hance, mit dem ich seit 30 Jahren verkehre, werde ich wohl gute Ex. des Chinesischen erlangen können u von Mr Horne die Mauritius Art. Graf Solms hat mein Material verbessert von . Sonst habe ich Alles. Bis jetzt hat sich nichts von Myoporinen in Madagascar und Neu Guinea gefunden. habe ich noch nicht genau untersucht; aber ich bin überzeugt, dass Selbige nicht coordinal ist.

Vielleicht kann der ausgezeichnete Maximowicz mir auch durch ein gutes Ex. von dem chines. u japanes. beistehen, so dass ich reichlich Material, namentlich auch Früchte zum Zergliedern habe.

does not arrive for some time as the mailing is to be done by the Premier's Office through the Public Library, so some delay is bound to occur.

I would now like to ask you to let me have a flowering and a fruiting specimen of ( ), as Alphonse de Candolle will permit me to work up the for the Monographiae.

My old personal friend Dr Hillebrand has kindly provided me with the species from the Sandwich Islands, and I should probably be able to obtain good specimens of the Chinese from Dr Hance, with whom I have been corresponding for 30 years, and the Mauritius species from Mr Horne. Count Solms has added to my material of . Everything else I have. So far no have been found in Madagascar or in New Guinea. I have not yet made a detailed examination of , but I am convinced that it does not belong to the same Order.

Perhaps the excellent Maximowicz could also assist me with a good specimen of the Chinese and Japanese , so that have I ample material, particularly fruit for dissecting.
