Ich freue mich dass Sie die sorgenvolle u mühsame Übersiedlung der Pflanzen in den neuen Gartengrund glücklich durchgeführt[.] Sie verdienen jedes Lob, u werde ich eine kurze Notiz über Ihre Verlegung des Gartens für Dr Goeze's Hamburger Gartenzeitung schreiben, — u. wenn Sie andere gelegentliche Notizen senden wollen, so sollen solche stets an dies ausgezeichnete Blatt oder an Regel's Gartenflora gehen, um unseren Landsleuten daheim eine Idee zu geben über ihr

from your salt marshes, dear Mr Holtze, is Carapa moluccensis!!
I'm glad that you successfully accomplished the anxious and troublesome transplanting of the plants into the new grounds for the Garden.

The Darwin Botanic Garden moved to its present site in June 1886.
You deserve every praise, and I shall write a short notice on your translocation of the Garden for Dr Goeze's Hamburger Garten- und Blumenzeitung.

No such notice has been found.
If you wish to send other occasional notices, they will always go to this excellent paper or to Regel's Gartenflora, to give our compatriots at home an idea of your excellent work. This can also lead to direct communications between you and German gardens, from which after all you are surely not somehow prevented.
