Referring to my letter of this date
forwarding copy of a Treasury Circular asking for the Estimates for the Government
Botanist for the year 1886/7, I beg now to forward a copy of a further Circular
from the Treasury desiring that the Estimates may also be prepared as if the principle
which was observed in the preparation of the Estimates for 1884/5 had not been departed
from.
