Erlauben Sie mir, hochgeehrter Herr Professor, Ihnen Mr Ed. Ramsay, den rüstigen und
talentvollen Curator des Sydney-Museums vorzustellen. Dieser Herr, wie Sie erinnern
werden, hat beim Fischen mit dem Schleppnetz auf meinen Wunsch auch nach Algen gehascht,
u. obgleich die Küste von Neu Süd Wallis eigentlich arm an Algen ist, könnte er nach
besonderer Instruction von Ihnen doch vielleicht noch Manches Neue auffinden für die
Algologie.

Permit me, highly esteemed Professor, to introduce to you Mr Ed. Ramsay, the energetic
and talented curator of the Sydney Museum. This gentleman, as you will remember, has
also at my request caught algae in fishing with the dragnet, and although the coast
of New South Wales is in reality poor in algae, he could following your special instruction
yet perhaps discover many new things for algology.
