M had regularly published lists of plants found during surveying and exploration journeys, although not always as part of the expedition report. For lists published separately, see, for example, B59.03.01 and B61.13.03, and for examples of enumerations within expedition reports, B60.13.14, B62.11.01, B64.13.05 and B75.04.08. M had made a similar request to publish the plants collected during Goyder's NT survey in M to G. Goyder, 28 March 1870 (in this edition as 70-03-28c). The report of Winnecke's 1883 expedition included an appendix (B84.08.02), which was also published independently in B86.05.01. It is not known whether the present request related to a specific expedition or expeditions or, if it did, to which ones.
