I thank you, dear Mr Tepper, for your note on the Stigmaderae.

Stigmoderae. M to O. Tepper, 6 April 1880 (in this edition as 80-04-06a) asked about beetle swarms. Tepper's annotation indicates that he had sent a copy of his paper 'on habits of large Stigm. on Mallee'. Tepper (1878) mentions Stigmodera , a genus in the beetle family Buprestidae , with some species feeding on Mallee Eucalyptus species decreasing in number, and another increasing. No other paper meeting the description has been found.
