In Beantwortung Ihres Schreibens v. 26 Oct. möchte ich bemerken, lieber Herr Tepper, dass die Frucht es zeigen muss ob
Rhagodia nutans

Search for Rhagodia nutans in

zwei specifische Formen umfasst; was Ihnen verschieden vorkommt mag der ältere u jüngere Zustand der selben Art sein. Ob eine Pflanze Art oder Varietät sei, lässt sich oft in einem beschränkten Bezirk nicht ermitteln. Nach u nach werden wir von Ihnen lernen, ob sich manche der Pflanzen der Lake Torrens & Darling-River Flora bis in Ihrer Halbinsel erstrecken?
In welchen Theile von Y. Pen. ist Ardrossan gelegen? Ist es ein einheimischer Name?
Besten Dank für die Sämereien. Der Catalog des Adel. Directors über die Südaustr. Pflanzen ist bis zu den Orchideen einfach aus der Fl. Austral. abgeschrieben u der schliessenden Theil der Monocot. ohne alle Kenntniss und Kritik aus verschiedenen Werken compilirt, vielleicht (êntre nous) mit Hinzunahme von getrocknen Pflanzen die ich benannt haben mag, u ganz unvollständig u fehlerhaft, wie bereits Prof Tate nach geweisen. Wir müssen die Sache in Bezug auf Prasophyllum Tepperi nächstes Jahr erledigen. Ich habe Ihnen auch noch den Namen der 2tn kl Art zu geben, die aber bekannt sein wird. Ich will die Knollen des Prasophyllum unter Cultur bringen.
Das Manna-Insekt, welches Sie sandten ist vielleicht das, welches den "Lerp", eine schaalige zuckerige Decke einer Larve auf Mallee Blüthen erzeugt, aber nicht das Insekt der Euc. viminalis?
Die beiden Eutaxien sind nur Racen, nicht Arten. Ich kenne gelegentlich Übergänge.

includes two specific forms; what seems to you different may be the older and younger states of the same species. Whether a plant is a species or variety is often not to be ascertained in a restricted district. Shall we learn gradually from you whether many of the plants of the Lake Torrens

is up to the orchids simply copied from the Flora australiensis and the concluding part of the monocots compiled without any knowledge and criticism from various works, perhaps (entre nous) with addition of dried plants that I may have named, and quite incomplete and incorrect as Professor Tate already pointed out.

, but without a description, in B83.03.04, p. 140. Tepper had previously published it, with only a minimal description, in Tepper (1880a), pp. 32-3, giving M as the author.
I have also still to give you the name of the second small species, but which will be known. I intend to bring the tubers of the Prasophyllum under cultivation.
The manna insect that you sent is perhaps that which produces the "Lerp", a crusty sugary cover of a larva on mallee blossoms, but not the insect of
