and some other useful vegetables of Australia. These seeds are sent to the Society by Baron Ferd. Von Mueller, whose zeal and extreme generosity towards our Society do not fail for a moment. To this letter are attached notes intended to accompany the work that our learned colleague has published under the title of Select plants , &c.

Probably B78.07.03, published as the 'Third supplement' in the series in the Proceedings of the Zoological and Acclimatisation Society of Victoria, but acting as a supplement to the consolidated and amplified work, based upon the previous parts in the Proceedings, that was issued as B76.12.04. The gift of a copy of B76.12.04 to the Society was announced at the meeting of 13 December 1878; see Bulletin de la société d'acclimatation, ser 3, vol. 5 (1878), p. 861; Prospero Ramel made the gift on behalf of the Victorian Commissioner to the Paris Universal Exhibition, which had closed in November.
