Letter not found. The text given here is from 'A public benefactor', a letter dated November 1874 from Miller to the editor of the California horticulturist and floral magazine, vol.4, p. 352. Miller in his letter praised M for his efforts in relation to acclimatization, stressing the importance of his plant introductions to California and the rest of the world.
