Ich schreibe nur wenige Worte mit dieser Post, verrehrter Freund, um Ihnen für die gütige Benennung u. Rücksendung der Algen to danken, auch für die werthvollen Schriften. Ich habe in einer neuen Abhandlung über Tasmaniens Pflanzen die Algen unter Ihrer dortigen Königl. Gesellschaft vorgeschlagen.
Die Liste der Chatham Insel Algen ist an das philos. Institut von Neu-Seeland gesandt.

and also proposed you as honorary member of the Royal Society there.

Agardh was elected a corresponding member at the Society's September 1873 meeting; see Papers and proceedings of the Royal Society of Tasmania for 1873, p. 49.
The list of the Chatham Island algae has been sent to the Philosophical Institute of New Zealand.
