The postscript of a letter survives in which Meyler states: 'I have been requested to ask Baron Von Mueller if he will have the kindness to supply at the same time and to the same agent, Mr John Hedrick, for the Trustees of the Winchelsea Presbyterian Church (of whom I am one) an assortment, including blue gums , of ornamental trees for the Church reserve of which three quarters of an acre will soon be prepared' (I73/9275, unit 750, VPRS 44/P, Public Record Office, Victoria).
