In accordance with your Excellency's kind permission I beg to forward two letters of grateful acknowledgement of the Royal honor, which her Majesty so graciously bestowed on me.

If your Excellency would do me the great favor of transmitting these two letters to the Right honorable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, I should feel deeply indebted.
