Erlauben Sie mir, hochgeehrter Herr Stephani, eine Bitte an Sie zu richten, welche sich mir hier aufdrängt. Es ist dies, eine Supplement Liste zu haben derjenigen Leber-Moose (auf die meisten derselben geht der Name nicht), welche für Australien nachgewiesen sind, seit Gottsche die Anführungen für den 11ten Band meiner Fragmenta lieferte. Es würde für Sie ein Leichtes sein, eine Namens-Liste bis zum letzten Datum niederzuschreiben. Es handelt sich z.B. um

, ob solche bereits aus Australien bekannt ist. Wenn eine solche Zusammenstellung auf die Namen beschränkt würde mit Autorität (ohne Synonyme) und nur die Colonien mit Anfangsbuchstaben bezeichnet würden, so würde das Ganze nicht sehr viele Seiten Druck nehmen, u. könnte wohl in der Hedwigia oder in einer andern bot. Zeitschrift bedruckt werden. Es handelt sich ja nur um Arten, die Gottsche noch nicht aus Australien kannte.

Demnächst erwarte ich wieder Pflanzen aus Neu Guinea; so wird auch wohl wieder etwas für Sie dabei sein.

Also, noch einmal, verpflichten Sie mich bald durch eine Supplemental Liste derjenigen Lebermoose, welche aus diesem Erdtheil hier veröffentlicht sind seit 1881.

Permit me, highly esteemed Mr Stephani, to direct a request to you, which imposes on me here. It is this, to have a supplementary list of those liverworts (on most of them there is no name), which are proved for Australia since Gottsche provided the citations for the 11th volume of my Fragmenta.

It would be an easy thing for you to write down a list of names up to the present date. It is about, for example,

, whether it is already known from Australia. If such a compilation were restricted to the names with authority (without synonyms) and the colonies were only indicated with initial letters, the whole would not take very many pages of printing and could probably be printed in Hedwigia or in another botanical journal. It is a matter indeed only of species, that Gottsche did not yet know from Australia.

No list from Stephani has been found.

Soon I expect again plants from New Guinea; so there will also probably be something there for you.

Therefore, again, oblige me soon by a supplemental list of those liverworts that are published from this part of the world since 1881.
