Sie werden wohl denken, lieber Herr Tepper, dass ich mich nur an Sie wende, wenn ich etwas wünsche; aber Sie sind ja immer selbst so beschäftigt, dass Sie wohl auch nur noch zu Ihren Obliegenheiten hinzufügen, wenn es wirkich einen Zweck hat.

So möchte ich diesmal nur fragen, ob durch Ihre gütige Vermittlung ich vom Wasser Departement dort gedruckte Rapporte über artesische Borungen erhalten könnte, welche Auskunft aus diesen Colonien ein wissenschaftlicher Freund in Canada zu erhalten wünscht.

So this time I would like just to ask whether I could get printed reports about artesian borings from the Water Department there through your good offices, which information a scientific friend in Canada wishes to receive from these colonies.
