Sie werden aus dem beigefügten Blatte ersehen, hochgeehrter Herr Doctor, dass Dr Ramsay, der Director des zool. Museums von Sydney, auch auf die Fortsetzung Ihrer wichtigen Characeen-Monographie subscribiren will. Mr Maiden in Sydney hat ein zweites Exemplar bestellt. Wenn wir erst wissen, ob die Fortsetzung auf Subscription möglich ist, werden sich auch noch Andere finden lassen für Abnehmen des Werkes.

Nun ist denn auch der vort[r]effliche Schübeler dahin! So scheidet Einer nach dem Anderen meiner vieljährigen Freunde aus dem Leben, u werde ich wohl Regel, Todaro u so vielen Anderen bald folgen!

Sie werden demnächst wieder einige Characeen erhalten, da Herr Eckert die Arten im Wimmera-Gebiet auf meinen besondere Wunsch sammelt.

Nordstedt (1891). No further parts of the work were published.

Mr Maiden in Sydney has ordered a second copy. If only we knew whether the continuation on subscription is possible, it would enable finding yet others for purchasing of the work.

Now the excellent Schübeler has passed away too.

Schübeler died on 20 June 1892.

Thus one after the other of my friends of many years have departed this life, and I suppose I, Regel, Todaro and so many others will soon follow!

You will soon receive some again, as Mr Eckert is collecting the species in the Wimmera district
