MS is marked '3' (i.e. p. 3) in the top right corner by Agardh; the cover letter that would have accompanied this list of identifications — probably the lacking pp. 1-2 — has not been found, but was probably dated late 1888 or early 1889 since M sent the collections involved to Agardh in early October 1888 (see M to Agardh, 5 October 1888). An undated partial draft survives at the Universitetsbibliotek, Lund. MS annotated in pencil at top of first page 'Specimens named'.
