1
The three foolscap sheets transcribed here are among a number sent by Cooke now in the library of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. They have been associated by J. H. Willis with M. Cooke to M, 4 April 1885 (in this edition as 85-04-04b) but are dated here to 6 June 1885 on the basis that there is another item headed by Cooke 'Australian fungi since June 6, 1885', this also being consistent with the date '23/7/85' in M's annotations on each sheet. Because they were received together, they are treated as a single item. The sequence of the sheets is that arranged by Willis and is not necessarily the order in which they were assembled by Cooke.

The top left of the sheet is annotated by M 'Rec | 23/7/85'.
