First registered as A84/2721 in the Chief Secretary's Department, then referred to
the Premier.
21. March 1884.
The honorable Graham Berry, M.L.A., Chief Secretary &c
Sir,
I have the honor to inform you, that I have received one hundred copies of the 9th
Decade of the Eucalyptography
from the Gov. Printing Office in accordance with former arrangements; but as new
regulations are now in force, requiring distributions of Gov. Publications to be made
through the Office of the hon. the Premier, I would beg for your instructions in this
case.

B84.04.04.
Thinking that it may facilitate the departmental distribution, I have the honor to
submit a list of 93 Recipients, who would be fairly entitled to this new decade of
the Eucalyptography in
interchange
for publications received from them; further the names of seven proposed recipients
are mentioned, from whom the Department has important botanic Collections. I presume
it will devolve on me, to send the 100 Copies to the office of hon the Premier, if
the subjoined list is approved of.

See also M to T. Wilson, 22 March 1884.
I have the honor to be,
Sir, your obedient servant

This letter was forwarded to the Premier, J. Service, on 27 March. On 10 April the
Secretary to the Premier, E. Thomas, responded: 'Mr Service directs me to enquire
whether the preceding decade was supplied to the proposed recipients in the within
List.' M was duly asked to supply the information, which he did (see M to T. Wilson,
21 April 1884), whereupon the Premier approved the proposed distribution.
