Memo No. 887
I beg to point out to the Govt Botanist that his memo of the 4th instant, respecting the giant todea fern presented to the St Petersburgh Botanic Gardens gives the cost of the conveyance of the fern only as far as London; and to request that he will be good enough to state if he is aware what expenses, if any were incurred in transporting the plant thence to St Petersburgh, and if any how such expenses were defrayed.
T. R. Wilson
