In accordance with the request, conveyed by your communication of the 8th instance,
I commenced at once the elaboration of a return of the present stock of plants in
the two nurseries of the botanic Garden, and I shall have the honor of submitting
it to you to morrow.
I beg to draw respectfully attention to the fact, that your wish for such a return
was not brought to my cognizance as Director until the evening of the 8th inst (Saturday)
through any ministerial communication with myself.
