Hochgeehrter Herr Professor.

Ich habe die Ehre Ihnen eine einstweilige Abrechnung, von einem Notar fidevirt

fidevit?

über die bisherigen Beiträge zum Nordafrikanischen Reisefond vorzulegen. Neuere Beiträge sind nur von Herrn v Bodin u von Tarrangower Turnverein übersandt. Ich werde indessen bereitwillig neue Anstrengungen machen für weitere Sammlungen, u bestimmt selbst noch einen neuen Beitrag liefern. Herrn Dr Bayer's Bemühungen für Ihre Unternehmung scheinen ganz vergeblich gewesen zu sein.

Hoffentlich haben Sie längst die von Adelaide, Queensland u New South Wales für Sie angefertigten oder doch ausgewählten Charten, welche ich successiv an Sie absandte, erhalten. Die letzte Sendung wurde durch Hr Prof. Decaisne in Paris vom Muséum d´histoire naturelle an Sie befördert.

I have the honour to present to you an interim statement of account, verified by a notary, on the amounts so far contributed to the North African expedition fund. More recent contributions have only been sent in by Mr von Bodin

Gymnastics Club. I am, however, ready to make renewed efforts for further collections and certainly shall provide another contribution myself. Dr Bayer's efforts for your enterprise seem to have all been in vain.

I hope you have long ago received the maps from Adelaide, Queensland, and New South Wales prepared, or at least selected for you, that I successively sent to you. The last transmission was forwarded to you through Professor Decaisne of the Natural History Museum in Paris.
