With reference to the application contained in your March Report
that permission might be given for your Botanical work being carried out at the Government
printing Office I have the honor to inform you that Mr O’Shanassy approves of its
being published there and the Printer has been instructed accordingly.
He further approves of the expenditure suggested of Eighty pounds for Lithographic
illustrations to be charged to the vote "Expense of publishing Reports on and illustrations
of natural Science No. 44["]

Moore wrote to the Government Printer, J. Ferres, on 24 April: 'I am directed to inform
you that the Director of the Botanic Garden Melbourne has obtained the sanction of
the Chief Secretary to place in your hands for publication a Botanical Work which
in such capacity he proposes to issue periodically' (No. 840, unit 2, VPRS 1187, PROV).
