Es war meine Absicht, geehrter Herr, mit dieser Wochen Post einen Aufsatz für Ihre schöne Zeitschrift zu senden, für den Jubel Band, wie ich versprochen hatte, aber die Wucht der Amts Pflichten gerade jetzt u. dazu ein Unwohlsein haben es verhindert die Abhandlung zu vollenden. Wenn nicht unvorhergesehene Umstände ein treten werde ich das Manuscript in folgender oder in der nächsten Woche senden[.] Ich hoffte eine Schrift über irgend eine neue Pflanze für die Pharmacie zu liefern, aber es hat sich wehrend

with this week's mail as I had promised.

No earlier letter to SIcha has been found.
But the pressure of official duties just now, and in addition an indisposition, have prevented me from completing the paper. Unless unforeseen circumstances intervene, I shall send the manuscript in the next or the following week. I had hoped to furnish a paper on some new plant or other for pharmacy, but nothing new was on offer in this or the chemical field this year. So I have chosen the genus
