By this mail of the week, dear Prof Milne-Edwards, I send a small case with some few
eggs of
rare
birds of North-Eastern Australia. I hope to have by the French Mail-Steamer an other
case ready, but am not certain yet, as some Minerals, which I expected, have not yet
arrived. In the case will be also a parcel of my works, so far as they were yet obtainable
for the Library of the Institut. I have not yet heard from Prof. Lacroix, whether
the last minerals proved of Interest to his collection in the Galleries of your great museum
