Sorry, dear Mr Macdonald, to hear of your indisposition, but trust you will soon recover. I feel not much better, but could in the warmth of dayhours come to your office, where, I suppose, you would allow us to hold the antarctic Committee meeting along with a full meeting of the geographic Council, when we all could meet Capt Gipps.

M to A. Macdonald, 2 June 1896, mentions a letter from Captain Gipps, that evidently contained some policy proposal. No meeeting of the Council with him before M died in October 1896 has been identified.
I have in this sense forwarded your letter on to Mr Potter, who doubtless will call on you and arrange for an early meeting
