Letter not found. The text given here is from Weekly times, 11 April 1896, p. 30, from a report of a farewell gathering of the staff of the Weekly Times and the Herald to mark the departure of Professor William Brown for WA to take charge of the experimental farm on Lord Brassey's Broomhill estate.
[Professor Brown has received a number of letters from various prominent gentlemen, congratulating him upon his appointment, and expressing their opinion of his special fitness for the position.
