Honored Sir
I owe your Council and yourself my best thanks for sending a package of seeds of Marram-Grass,
also for the very acceptable addition made by you in sending the seeds of
, that being also a splendid "Sandstay".
The season has not been a good one for maturing seeds well of many kinds of plants,
and thus the Marram has also perfected only a limited proportion of grain. From A
collection of seeds, recently received from Southern Asia, a set containing economic
kinds, will be made up for you, as the mild and humid clime of Warnambool should be
particularly conducive to rear plants from these there.
