Sir
Adverting to my letter of the 26th Ultimo
2
H. Lawson to M, 26 February 1896 (in this edition as 96-02-26a).
I have now the honor to forward, under separate cover, a parcel each of "Marram Grass" and ,
3
Acacia sophorae ?
the latter should be soaked in boiling water for 24 hours before being planted. The Ranger Mr Wm Stewart, has not much faith in the Marram seed for it does not maturate here although the plants flourish, good seed is obtainable from Barr & Son, King Street, Covent Garden, London.
I should deem it a great favor if you could supply the Council with some seeds or plants of "Muntries" which grows so well along the coast near Port McDonnell and makes an excellent preserve.

M did not report sending any 'Muntries' but offered to send a collection of seeds recently received from southern Asia, see M to H. Lawson, 27 March 1896 (in this edition as 96-03-27a).
Thanking you in anticipation
I have the honor to be
Sir
Your most obedient Servant
H. E. Lawson
Town Clerk.
