similar to the more common and yellowish S. glauca, and like it, indigenous to many parts of Europe and Asia. It is not a desirable grass, being merely annual, not [bu]lky, and having rather long “awns,” by which [it m]ay irritate pasture animals, &c. (See also answer [to] A. H., Coimadal.
