MS is stamped: 'Town Council Warrnambool 25/2/96'. Council minutes and the Warrnambool standard reported the receipt of M's letter. The Standard specifically mentioned that M's letter was addressed to Scoborio. The Council agreed to inform M that it would endeavour to comply with his request; see minute book 14, p. 371, 25 February 1896, Town Council records, City of Warrnambool archives, and Warrnambool standard, 27 February 1896, p. 2).
