MS is a printed invitation, addressed to 'Monsieur Ferdinand De Mueller Barone e Console d'Italia Melbourne (Australia)'. To this, someone, presumably a postal official, has added 'St Kilda'. Attached to the invitation is a two-page handwritten chronology, in English, of Negri's career, and his card: "Il Barone Cristoforo Negri/ Senatore del Regno/ Ministro di Stato/ Firenze — 10, Via Leonardo da Vinci/ Villa d'Istria".
