As the cool season will soon come on again, dear Madam, I would like very much, that
you with the aid of neighbouring befriended Ladies get for me collected all sorts
of the small spring-herbs and minute plants such as in the hot season disappear. If
the season turnes out rainy a great variety can be gathered doubtless on your plains
They need only be put indiscriminately into bag-envelopes like those sent as samples
herewith. Such an envelope will take from a dozen to half a hundred kinds of very
small plants and they dry readily if the envelopes are put for some few days into
the sun-warmth. Among such
very
small
land-plants novelties are sure to occur. I need hardly repeat, after your reiterate
kind sending of seaweeds (Algs) that I never can [have] too many from
your
locality The print, sent herewith may interest your respected husband
