Cher Monsieur,
Je m’empresse de vous informer de l’heureuse arrivée, à Paris, des deux caisses de
collections que vous avez bien voulu adresser au Muséum par l’obligeante entremise
de M. Castellan, à qui j’écris aujourd’hui pour le remercier des soins qu’il a donnés
à cette expedition.
Je vous suis très reconnaissant des dons répétés que vous faites à notre Muséum et
les Professeurs, entre les mains desquels je remets les objets les concernant ne manqueront
pas de vous en témoigner leur gratitude.

Dear Sir,
I hasten to inform you of the safe arrival at Paris of the two boxes of collections
that you have so kindly sent to the Museum through the obliging intercession of Mr
Castellan, to whom I have today written to thank him for the care he has given to
this transfer.
I am most appreciative of the repeated donations you have made to our Museum and the
Professors into whose hands I have put the items that concern them will not fail to
let you know of their gratitude.
