Have been as overwhelmed with work, dear Mr Macdonald, as I had the additional duties of Hon. Examiner toward[s] the end of the year at several Gov. establishments, that now only most of my Newyears greetings and presents are sent out. Let me also express then to you your kind Lady and bright young daughter that the new annual span of time, on which now we have entered, will prove a joyful [one]
