Dear Sir
With this I send example of the Eucalypt
unnamed
from which the kino sent you was obtained, you should have received it long since,
but I have been so very busy, most of the time away from home that it slipped out
of my memory, as yet I have not been able to get flowering specimens of Euc Stuartiana
& E Sieberiana. If I do not find them soon I shall send leaves and fruits. When I
receive name of the Bean sent some time ago will forward notes on it, with respect
to the Panicum Italicum I can add nothing to that in the last edition of Select Plants,
unless it may be later on. Time from date of sowing to maturity, it is unfortunate
your letter about the Eucalypts did not arrive three weeks earlier. I could then have
obtained good specimens.

B91.09.01. A new edition was published in August 1895.
An unfortunate accident happened to me a short time since that I fear will prevent
me going to Bellinger, at any rate for some time to come. riding home with a friend
from Walcha his racehorse, a stallion kicked at my hack, and struck me on the leg,
a week later, as it pretty well I rode out a few miles, but had to return. I am told
that it will be at least a month ere it will be safe for me to take a journey it is
very provoking the rivers have been in flood every week until lately, for more than
two months, and now this accident. I fear it will be late for this season. please
let me know what you think as to that — One thing is certain no person in this colony
takes any interest in the matter unless it might be Mr Maiden, whose time must be
fully occupied, even if aware of the existence of the fung, so that at the worst we
have another season before us.
I have the honour to be
Baron
Your most obedt servt
A R Crawford
