with your lithographed portrait which I feel honoured to posses — You sent me a splendid photograph of yourself in June 1893 (it came on my birthday) I greatly value these, and all other offerings I receive from you —
I regret being unable to send well developed fruiting specimens of the 321 I had no opportunity of visiting the locality where it grows between the middle of Dec, and last Monday, when I went in search of it, but could not see one plant holding fruit. I will search further if possible — The seeds of this which I send in the parcel today, were taken from plants gathered in the middle of Dec — I also send two or three specimens gathered at the same time, which I think are bearing a few fruit
With kind regards
I am yours truly
