My dear Sir
Many thanks for your kind offer to assist me in my studies I send with this a dried specimen of the & also a drawing of another specimen with notes which may be of interest

I also take the liberty of sending you quite a large number of other plants which I have not identified except provisionally in some cases. Also two plants of orchids, though possibly in the absence of the flowers you may not identify them with certainty.
My apology for sending you so many at once must be that I am anxious to increase my knowledge of our native flora as speedily as possible in order that I may the better be able to to

or lagoons to collect aquatic plants — I know very little about them but I see there is a list of "Floating & Submerged" plants in the "Key"

which will indicate to me what to look for. I do not see the you mention in the list or in the Key.

M expected this genus to be found other than in Qld where it had been found in 1867, and was asking collectors to seek it; see, for example B89.09.01, M to C. Musson, 3 February 1889, and M to A. Molineux, 2 February 1895.
