By the "Australien", dear Prof. Milne Edwards, I send you a case with zoologic and
mineralogic specimens under the care of Mons Aillaud, one of the principal Officers
of that Ship.
I forward also for Prof Van Tieghem a stem of Nuytsia floribunda, about 5' long and 7" in diameter

It was very pleasing to me that the minerals, sent by the former voyage of the Australien
contained novelties for the Gallery of your grand Museum, and the present sending
will also bring rarities. I will get more specimens together by the end of April for
the "Australien".
