Dear Sir
I am sending by same post as this a plant that I discovered growing in my paddock. Some two years ago I noticed a small plot of it growing and fearing it was some objectionable weed I carefully pulled it all out. This year however I find it as thick as before, it appears to send up shoots from its roots which run along 3 or 4 inches under the surface similar to the bracken fern. Both sheep and cattle eat it. Kindly let me know what is the name of it and if it is likely to become troublesome or if of any value as a fodder plant.
Yours faithfully
Geo. C. Coutts
