I am directed to inform you that the officers to whom Advances have been made for the payment of Salaries and Wages, may after the passing of the next Supply Bill

The next Supply bill, for funds to pay for additional expenses incurred in 1893-94 financial year ending 30 June 1894, was passed 31 October 1894. There was no provision in the Chief Secretary's budget in this bill for additional expenditure in the Government Botanist's department incurred in the 1893-94 financial year (Votes and Proceedings of the Legislative Assembly, Session 1894-5, vol. 1, pp. 15-17).
receive an advance to pay the difference between the amount payable under existing law, and the amount which has been paid during the past three months.
This Advance is to be adjusted as soon as practicable.
A further Advance, based on the requirements for one month only will also be made.
This Advance is to be considered as an addition to the ordinary annual salary Advance, with which it is to be adjusted at the end of the financial year.
