Dear Baron von Mueller,
I send you the Olearia or which I believe to be new, and which bears a strong superficial resemblance to O. erubescens . You will however notice that it has strictly opposite leaves.

This sending was among those recorded in a list of packages despatched by the Museum (MRS 105, [Parcels posted and forwarded], Powerhouse Museum, Sydney). Letters have not been found corresponding to the following additional despatches recorded as having been sent to M: in 1894, parcels described as 'Bot spec', sent on 9 July, 20 July and 7 August, and a parcel listed as 'Grasses', sent on 28 September; in 1895, parcels listed as "'Bot spec' sent on 28 February, 27 March, 5 April and 20 November, and a consignment on 3 December described as 'Plant'; and in 1896, one parcel sent on 21 April, listed as 'Bot spec'.
