On close examination I find, dear Mr Maiden, must be as a variety of (as as you say ) which therefore is new to N.S.W.

M was sent a 'bot spec' from the Technological Museum, Sydney on 7 August 1894 ('Parcels posted and forwarded' entry no. 43 for 1894, Powerhouse Museum Sydney, MRS 105).

It is a short-spiked form, and differs also in some other respects but so far as I can make out from your specimen, not specifically.
